Owl Phone Case ~ Crochet
I saw some examples of these adorable phone cases on Pinterest and got inspired! I decided to make a few for myself and friends. I think they turned out very well. I just learned to crochet a few months ago using YouTube videos and the project really wasn't too difficult!
The only stitches necessary were single crochet and the magic circle.
If you want any more details on the project let me know!

Menu Board
This Menu Board has got to be one of my favorite things about my kitchen! My husband and I take turns cooking dinner throughout the week and this board has done wonders for us! With our pre-made recipe cards we don't have to think up new meals each week. We just flip through our cards and pick out which ones look good...then we clip them up and the shopping list pretty much writes itself. It only takes us a couple of minutes to plan an entire week of meals and we never forget anything at the grocery store!
There is a clip for each day of the week to quickly organize the meals. That way we always know what's for dinner and who is cooking what. It was so easy to type or write up recipes/ingredients on colored paper. If we find a new recipe that we like we just make a new card.
I separated the cards into main dishes in one pocket and side dishes in the other. Quick and easy way to mix and match meals and it saves us so much time!
The board was made using craft paper and mounted into a simple picture frame.

Crockpot Chicken Teriyaki
My husband and I lead busy lives which means that we don't always have a ton of time to make dinner. Here is an extremely simple recipe that we have come to love!
Crockpot Chicken Teriyaki
3-4 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 cup teriyaki marinade
1 can pineapple chunks in real pineapple juice
Instant brown rice
Place your chicken, 1/2cup teriyaki sauce, and the entire can of pineapple chunks into your crockpot. Make sure that the chicken is fully covered so that it will not dry out. Add a bit of water if needed. (I usually swirl a bit of water around to rinse out the measuring cup and then pour it into the mix!)
Turn the crockpot on high for 3-4 hours or until the chicken is easily flaked apart with a fork.
Flake the chicken and serve over rice adding more teriyaki on top for flavor.
Enjoy!
This recipe is great with veggies as well! Make a nice side salad or add some peas...yummy!
